Welcome to A Year and a Day Magazine, Issue 17 Spring 2024, where we dive into the fascinating world of rivers. As the snow and ice melts away in the spring, rivers come alive with sound, and we're excited to take you on this journey of discovery.
Rivers and riverbanks are home to a rich variety of plants and animals, making them wonderfully diverse habitats. From fish to birds, and from trees to flowers, rivers support an incredible range of life. In this issue, we'll explore the different ecosystems that rivers support and how they're interconnected.
This issue is packed with three traditional tales that will answer some of your questions about rivers. How are they formed? Who makes the river their home? What can we learn from rivers? Our stories are accompanied by fun activities that will inspire your creativity, including making a river swimmer, creating a dot painting, and writing a river song!
Our magazine is printed on high-quality uncoated paper, suitable for drawing and writing. We're committed to sustainable production, and our magazine is designed and printed in the United Kingdom. This means you can enjoy your magazine while knowing that you're supporting eco-friendly practices.
