HISTORY ASPECTS: The Bumerang (Object K-17) Infantry Fighting Vehicle (IFV) represents the cutting edge of Russian armored vehicle design, developed to replace the older BTR series in the Russian Armed Forces. First unveiled during the Moscow Victory Day Parade in 2015, the Bumerang was designed with a modular approach, allowing the platform to be adapted for various roles, including troop transport, reconnaissance, and fire support. The vehicle boasts advanced composite armor, an active protection system, and an amphibious capability, making it highly versatile across diverse combat environments. Equipped with the Epoch combat module, the K-17 variant of the Bumerang features a 30mm 2A42 autocannon, a 7.62mm coaxial machine gun, and Kornet-EM anti-tank guided missiles, offering superior firepower against infantry, vehicles, and fortified positions. The vehicle's state-of-the-art fire control system allows for precision targeting, even on the move. Its eight-wheel configuration provides high mobility, enabling rapid deployment in urban and off-road conditions. Although the Bumerang has yet to be widely deployed in large-scale conflicts, it has undergone rigorous testing in diverse environments, including Arctic conditions and desert terrain, demonstrating its adaptability. As tensions continue to rise in various regions, the Bumerang is expected to play a critical role in modernizing Russia’s armored forces, providing enhanced protection and firepower for mechanized infantry units. This 1:72 scale model in mixed camouflage perfectly captures the imposing presence and advanced design of this next-generation vehicle. With intricate detailing, rotating turret, and realistic weaponry, this replica is an ideal addition for collectors and military enthusiasts seeking to showcase the evolution of modern armored vehicles.
