HISTORY ASPECTS: The USAF C-130H Hercules, tail number 96-7325, serves as a vital asset within the Montana Air National Guard's 120th Airlift Wing, based at Great Falls Air National Guard Base. As part of the storied C-130 Hercules family, this aircraft exemplifies rugged versatility, capable of handling tactical airlift missions under the most demanding conditions. The H-model, introduced in the 1970s and upgraded over time, features improved avionics, enhanced engines, and a strengthened airframe, making it ideal for operations in austere environments such as remote airstrips or disaster zones. Since entering service with the Montana ANG, 96-7325 has participated in a wide range of missions both domestically and internationally. It has been used for combat support in Iraq and Afghanistan, transporting personnel, equipment, and supplies to forward operating bases. Domestically, the aircraft has played a crucial role in humanitarian relief, wildfire support, and emergency response missions, often delivering aid and equipment to areas affected by natural disasters. The C-130H’s ability to take off and land on short, unprepared runways makes it indispensable in crisis response and remote logistics. In addition to its operational duties, 96-7325 regularly participates in training exercises, joint operations with allied forces, and aerial resupply missions. The aircraft helps maintain mission readiness for the Montana Air National Guard while also representing the state and unit in airshows and community outreach events. Its continued service is a testament to the durability and adaptability of the Hercules platform, which has become a cornerstone of U.S. tactical airlift capabilities for over six decades. This 1:200 scale model showcases the iconic silhouette and detailed markings of this battle-tested airlifter. Ideal for collectors of military aviation and American airpower, this replica captures the spirit and strength of a true workhorse that has served in missions across the globe.
