This brand-new Luft-x 1/72 scale airplane model depicts the Sack AS-6 aircraft prototype associated with the German Luftwaffe. It has a detailed exterior, true-to-scale detail, is officially licensed, and comes with a display stand. The model has no openings and is supplied in the manufacturer’s original unopened packaging. Dimensions are approximately L-4, wingspan 2.875 inches.
The experimental AS-6 was developed in Nazi Germany during World War II by German farmer and aviation enthusiast Arthur Sack to explore a circular-wing design. Built using parts from various aircraft, including a Messerschmitt Bf 109 fuselage, it underwent limited testing at Leipzig-Mockau airfield in 1944. Stability and control issues prevented practical combat use, and the aircraft never saw operational use in a conflict.
